Charity Database Project Manager
“You have facilitated better recording, monitoring and support for us and therefore, ultimately benefited our clients”. That was the recent, unprompted feedback from one of our customers at the end of their implementation. It’s why we exist.
Lamplight is a management database system that makes charities more effective and efficient. We need you to help charities get started with it. We are looking for a full-time Implementer / Trainer who can help our customers get their new Lamplight system all set up and ready to go. You will work closely with them to identify all their requirements, and make sure Lamplight will meet their needs. You’ll then train their teams to use Lamplight, and support them as they start to use it.
Of course change can be challenging, and you will need both analytical and people skills to help people through it. The end result is often transformative – we’ve been told “Lamplight is the heartbeat of our organisation” – and it’s exciting to be a part of this.
You will have a logical mind and excellent interpersonal skills. You’ll need to understand some of the challenges facing charities, and how IT can support their work. You’ll have a high level of computer literacy, and be confident delivering training to mixed groups of learners.
The role involves a moderate level of travel in the UK (usually 1 or 2 days per week). We are a dispersed team, with bases in London and Chichester – we’re happy with remote working. We can offer some flexibility with days and hours if necessary, although you’ll need to be able to travel to Customers occasionally for a full day of training or meetings. We are looking for someone based in the West Midlands, South Wales, or the South West, who can travel to customers in those areas. We’ll support continued learning, conference attendance and so on. We offer 28 days holiday plus public holidays. Salary is up to £30,200 per annum.
