The Staff Management module brings everything together in one place, removing the need for separate systems or spreadsheets. It helps you track leave, supervision notes, and how staff spend their time, while producing clear reports that show exactly where hours are going.

How it works

The Staff Management Module enables you to capture detailed personnel information for staff and volunteers. Only management can view the information in a staff profiles. You can also generate and report on timesheets and track staff development.

The Staff Management Module allows you to manage the following from your system:

  • Timesheets – showing hours worked, absences, and non-contact time, and comparing them to contract hours. 
  • Contract details – keep details of current and past contracts held within your organisation.
  • Non-contact – keep details of non-contact work undertaken, for example planning or follow-ups.
  • Absences – log sickness or annual leave, including an annual leave calculator.
  • Training – keep records of training undertaken.
  • Appraisals – for records of supervision, 1:1 discussions and annual appraisals.

Already a Lamplight user? 

To enable the module, go to system admin (you must be a system administrator) > your account > add or remove modules > tick the Staff Management Module box to turn it on in your system. Don’t forget to click ‘update my system’ to ensure it’s activated.

To set up the module you will need to set up a hierarchy and list items to enable you to specify absence, training and other categories. Steps and guidance for this can be found in the help pages
