Multimedia

Store and share information securely with a Multimedia Module that keeps documents and photos organised.

Attach files directly to profiles, sessions, or referrals—eliminating scattered folders and improving compliance. Everything is in one place, easy to find, and ready when you need it.

Organisations handle a wide range of documents, photos, and records every day — from client casework to event evidence.

The Multimedia module makes it simple to keep everything organised in one central place, directly within your existing database.

No more scattered folders or external storage: instead, you can securely attach documents, images, and links to the right person, organisation, or session.

This helps you stay compliant, save time, and ensure that important information is always easy to find and share.

How it can help

Store and retrieve documents from a single, central location — no more juggling multiple folders.

Link documents directly to a person or organisations profile.

Attach materials directly to sessions, such as photos from events for evidence or case studies.

Link documents to referrals, whether received from agencies or made externally (e.g. MARAC).

Reduce duplication and improve security by keeping personal data within the database.

How it works

With the Multimedia module, Lamplight allows you to store many types of files. You can upload any kind of file, although individual files have to be less than 10MB each.

Lamplight will try to open the file to create a simple preview of the file to show, and optionally to index the content for searching. The types of file that previews can be generated for are:

Word processing (.doc, .docx, .odt, .rtf) Pdfs (.pdf) Spreadsheets (.xls, .xlsx, .ods, .csv) PowerPoint files (.ppt)

Lamplight will create thumbnails for images uploaded (in .jpg, .png, or .gif formats). You can also provide links to files elsewhere on the internet, and Lamplight will fetch them.
