Will We See AI in Lamplight Any Time Soon?

With AI becoming increasingly common in software and technology, we are sometimes asked whether Lamplight plans to introduce AI features into the system.

At the moment, we have no plans to add AI to Lamplight in the near future. While we recognise that AI has potential benefits, we also have some important concerns that make us cautious about adopting it.

Protecting Your Data

The security and privacy of your data will always be our top priority. Given the sensitive information stored within Lamplight, we take a careful approach to any technology that could impact data security. While AI providers often have strict policies around data use, the technology is evolving quickly, and we want to be confident that your information remains protected at all times.

Accuracy Matters

AI tools can be useful, but they are not always right. In sectors where people rely on accurate information to support clients, even a small number of mistakes can have serious consequences. We believe that important decisions and records need to be based on reliable, verifiable information, and currently we do not feel AI is consistent enough for many of the tasks Lamplight supports.

Looking at the Bigger Picture

We also have wider concerns around the social and environmental impact of AI. As the technology develops, these are factors we continue to monitor and consider carefully.

Our Focus Remains on Security

Rather than adding AI features, our current focus is on keeping Lamplight secure. AI is changing the cyber security landscape rapidly, creating new threats and challenges that organisations must respond to. We are investing our efforts in strengthening our security measures and ensuring that your data remains safe in an increasingly complex digital world.

What About the Future?

We are not ruling out AI forever. Technology changes quickly, and our views may evolve over time. For now, however, our priority is delivering a secure, reliable system that our customers can trust.

At Lamplight, we’ll continue to keep a close eye on developments and always put the needs, privacy and safety of our customers first.
